3rd annual Swim for Melissa and Miracle Bash
Make plans now to attend the 3rd annual Swim for Melissa and Miracle Bash on August 8-9, 2008, benefiting the Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation. We’ll kick off the weekend on Friday, August 8 with the Miracle Bash at The Westin Huntsville from 7 – 11 p.m. You’ll enjoy a buffet dinner, live entertainment and silent auction. Then on Saturday, kids ages 5-14 will swim laps at the Hampton Cove Pool to raise money for the Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund. All proceeds will provide state-of-the-art Giraffe OmniBeds for the Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RNICU) at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children. We raised $117,000 through last year’s event and proceeds provided three of these special beds! With your help, we hope to raise even more money this year. 2007 Swim for Melissa and Miracle Bash
Thanks to everyone who made the 2nd annual Swim for Melissa such a great success! This year’s event, held August 10-11, raised more than $117,000 for the Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation.
We had a record number of people attend the 2007 event. More than 350 people enjoyed the Miracle Bash at The Ledges on Friday, August 10. And 181 swimmers and 25 teams hit the water at Hampton Cove Pool on Saturday to raise money and swim laps at Swim for Melissa.
Our goal was to raise enough money to buy one Giraffe OmniBed for the Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children. Thanks to the donations and support from people across the Tennessee Valley, the Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund used proceeds from this event to purchase three of these state-of-the-art beds for critically ill and premature infants!
Thanks for helping us make a big splash for tiny babies!
