Huntsville Hospital's patients have been very fortunate over the years for the care they have been able to receive for the last 20+ years. This is due to caring and innovative physicians who have stayed on top of the very latest research developments, continually recruited younger physicians with experience in the newest and greatest techniques.

Through participation in research programs and clinical database, we have been able to meet the ever-evolving needs of our Cardiac Patients. Research and technological advancements have provided us with the information and tools to recognize heart disease and acute events so quick that we now stop heart disease & heart attacks in their tracks. The interventional program and equipment is "state of the art" / "cutting edge" due to the constant vigil of procedure & technological advancements by our Cardiac team!

Every modern technique such as, tPA {clot busters}, PTCA {artery balloons}, Stents {devices to hold arteries open} and Cardiac Surgery is understood and employed at HHS.

Although this is a community hospital, we have all the tools, techniques and science of any major facility in the nation, and our results continually prove this out in comparisons with national statistics.

Cardiac Cath
Huntsville Hospital's Cardiac Catheterization Lab is a state of the art. We have been performing caths since 1979, when our lab opened and ushered in a new beginning for cardiac care in North Alabama. Prior to the establishment of these services, citizens in Huntsville and surrounding counties were forced to leave the area for vital cardiac procedures. Today, more than 6,000 cardiac catheterizations are performed annually in our facility. Huntsville Hospital's cardiac capabilities rank among the best in the southeast.
