The Donor Center at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children is Closing March 1

The LifeSouth Donor Center at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children will be closing on March 1. The center at Huntsville Hospital Main, located on the ground floor near the lobby, will remain open. We appreciate your generosity and thank you for patience during this transition.

Please continue to save lives by donating at blood drives held every other month between the Women�s Pavilion and the Professional Building. The LifeSouth Blood-Mobile will be available on the following Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.:

Everyday, more than 100 people in north Alabama hospitals need blood. Now's the time to join in the effort to help your friends and neighbors. Every unit you donate will help save the life of a neighbor.

Hospital Donor Centers
Due to the enormous success of our LifeSouth blood drives, the hospital has a permanent in-house blood donation center.

Huntsville Hospital Main, ground floor, in the old gift shop, (256) 265-6340

Operated by LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, every unit collected at the center will be tagged specifically for Huntsville Hospital patients. The in-house donor center is designed to make giving blood more convenient for our hospital guests.

All donors at the Huntsville Hospital location receive:

Mini-physical
Cholesterol Screen

Apheresis donations are available with or without an appointment at the Huntsville Hospital Donor Center. Call 1-888-795-2707 to make an appointment. Allow approximately two hours for apheresis donations.
