Athlete of the Week for March Week 4
Woodville High School
Our next Athlete of the Week is from a smaller school with 550 total students. For All-Star Grant Ball, Woodville High School is the perfect place to highlight his BIG accomplishments. On the Woodville football field, Grant has played varsity since 7th grade and has lettered each year. He was voted team captain, voted an All-Region player for the last three seasons and currently holds as the Woodville High record as leading rusher. In the classroom, he is an all-time leader on the honor roll. With a strong 3.75 GPA, Grant excels in many subjects, particularly History. He is very involved in student life and in school governance. He was elected Student Government Association President his senior year, President of the Beta Club, President of the W Club for Varsity lettermen and is second-in-command as the Senior Class Vice-President. Grant has focused much of his community involvement on a foundation working to find a cure for Niemann-Pick Disease. He has supported the organization's Walk-A-Thon and other fundraisers. Grant also organized blood drives at Woodville High, organized and chaired a Veteran's Day celebration at his high school, and organized and chaired the first Faculty-Student flag football game. Grant is truly a big fish making some large waves. Congratulations, Grant!
