Athlete of the Week for April Week 3

Trois White

Trois White
Boaz High School
4.0 GPA
Sports: Tennis, Football & Swimming

For some student-athletes the academic part of being a student-athlete comes easy. For others, the athletic part is the easy part. Easy, in the sense that natural ability shines through and the individual succeeds. One Boaz High School senior makes being our chosen Athlete of the Week and “easy” pick with the academic, athletic and community accomplishments this young man has amassed throughout his high school career. Meet Trois (pronounced “Trey”) Randall White II from Boaz High School. This Boaz Pirate has seen all sides of the athletic realm. Trois dabbled in the football world, participating on the varsity squad for two years. Not completely satisfied with playing only football, Trois hit the court for the Boaz High School Tennis team. He made the varsity team all four years of high school and had great success. He made a run to the Alabama State Tennis Championships as a Quarterfinalist in singles and doubles matches. The next year, he climbed the rankings and became the number 1 singles and doubles semi-finalist in Marshall County. When it’s not time for Trois to serve or volley, it’s time for a Butterfly or Backstroke. Trois got his feet wet with swimming and quickly became a competitor in several different events. He’s helped lead the Boaz Swim Team with his individual accomplishments in the freestyle, backstroke and butterfly competitions; not to mention relay races, as well. Trois makes the “books” seem easy ranking second in his graduating class with a solid 4.0 GPA. He’s been a permanent resident on the honor roll, is a member of the National Honors Society, was named Captain of the Boaz High School Math Team and has been part of the school’s Scholar Bowl team. This young man even makes his community efforts seem easy. Trois is an active member of his church and the church choir, where he has traveled the country to participate in volunteer work. He’s active in FCA and has been volunteering at the local elementary school library after he gets out of school. Trois makes it look easy. Congratulations, Trois!
