Athlete of the Week for October Week 2
Huntsville High School
Sports: Football and Baseball
As we head down the home stretch of football season, you may have already caught our next Athlete of the week in action on the gridiron. If you missed on the football field, then you certainly have seen him covering the outfield for the 2011 State Champion Huntsville High School Panthers varsity baseball team. Will Nunn is rapidly making a name for himself as a three-year starting quarterback for the Crimson Panthers, but more importantly, he’s catching the eye of football enthusiasts around the city, state and even on the national level. He’s been named to the first team All-City, the first team All-Region and is ranked nationally by ESPN as one of the top quarterbacks in the country. In the classroom, you’ll find the same level of dedication. Will carries a solid 4.0 GPA, which has made him a Gold Card recipient and earned him a spot on the honor roll for the past three years. He’s also heavily involved with the National Honors Society, National Latin Honors Society and the Chemistry Club. Did we mention he made a solid 33 on his ACT? Will sees the need to give back to his community and to his school in his spare time. Will tutors fellow students at Huntsville High School on various subjects. You can also find him front and center in the youth group at his local church and also with his fellow Christian Athletes with FCA. Congratulations, Will!
