Darin MayerHazel Green High School and Meridianville Middle School

Darin Graduated from the University of Florida in 1994 with a BS in Health and Human Performance and a minor in Special Physical Education. During his time at Florida he served as Student Athletic Trainer for the football and track teams, as well assistant Athletic Trainer for Eastside High School in Gainesville, Florida. Before coming to Florida he went to Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he was a member of the football team which played the University of North Alabama in the Division II National Champion in 1990.

Following Graduation in 1994, darin spent three years at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where he helped start a Sports Medicine Program. After successfully starting the sports medicine program at Phoebe Putney, Darin went to work for an Orthopedic Sports Medicine doctor in Kinston North Carolina. After a year there learning the "Doctors" side of the Sports medicine game he went to work at Auburn University, rehabbing the athletes for the university.

In 1998, darin moved to Huntsville, Alabama, and shortly after that started working at the Sports Center. Darin has been the trainer at Hazel Green High School for the past 10 years where he provides day to day care for their athletes. He has also worked with J.O. Johnson and Sparkman High School.

Darin enjoys hunting, golfing and spending time with his family.
