Resolve Through Sharing
RTS Bereavement Program for Pregnancy and Infant Loss
When a baby dies, the grief you feel is real. Family and friends will try to comfort you but the pain does not go away. You need someone who knows what you are going through – someone who knows how to help. The Resolve Through Sharing program is designed to provide support to families who are grieving the loss their baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or newborn death.
We are aware that this is a very emotional time for you and your needs are very special. To help meet those needs, the RTS program offers a Parent Support Group that you may find valuable in working through your emotions. By communicating with couples who have experienced similar pain, parents can help each other adjust to life without their expected child.
The support group meetings are a self-help tool, not a therapy group. There is no fee. Parents are welcome to come as often as needed and are free to end their participation whenever they are ready.
Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month:
- 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
- Huntsville Hospital Dowdle Center at the corner of Gallatin St. and Governors Dr., Room 131
