The magazine tapped Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., as America's best hospital, followed by Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor.
U.S. News rated every hospital as either high performing, average or below average in nine different adult procedures or conditions. Huntsville Hospital was rated high performing in six of those areas: heart bypass surgery, heart failure, COPD, colon cancer surgery, aortic valve surgery and abdominal aortic aneurysm repair.
