Johnson appointed to Authority Board; Bolte joins as at-large member
The Huntsville City Council has appointed Janice H. Johnson to the Health Care Authority of the City of Huntsville, the voluntary board that governs Huntsville Hospital Health System. She succeeds Bhavani Kakani on the Authority.
Johnson has served on the board in an at-large position since October 2021. Her vacated position will be filled by James T. Bolte, said Philip W. Bentley, chairman of the Authority.
“Our words cannot express our gratitude for Bhavani Kakani’s service to our board and to our hospitals. She has played a tremendous role in the progress of our Health System. We will miss her,” said Bentley. “We also want to congratulate Janice Johnson and welcome Jim Bolte to our board. We look forward to serving our community together.”
Johnson is a retired CPA and tax attorney, and a resident of Huntsville. Bolte, a retired senior executive from Toyota, served as the executive advisor for the Mazda Toyota joint venture in Huntsville. Previously, he was president of Toyota Motor MFG Alabama, Inc. Bolte resides in Madison.
