Schedule a Career Ambassador Visit
The Career Ambassador Team is comprised of healthcare professionals that share career opportunity information with local schools and organizations. This team was established to support sharing career opportunities with all segments of our community. To request our Career Ambassador visit for your group, please fill out the application link. Please allow two weeks processing time.
Job Shadowing Program
The Job Shadowing Program provides opportunities for students to learn more about specific health care careers through first hand observation in the workplace. Medical Career Explorer Program
The Medical Career Explorer Program is designed for high school students 15 years of age or older; providing opportunities for deeper career exploration with monthly group meetings featuring guest speakers, discussion groups, tours, and demonstrations from professionals in health care. To participate the Online Application must be completed during the summer open application period prior to the school year. This year's open application period is now closed. Nursing Camp
Huntsville Hospital is partnering with the Alabama State Nurses Association to offer a FREE Nursing Camp for high school students who are interested in the nursing profession. This fun, hands-on camp will give students an opportunity to experience firsthand what nursing is like at North Alabama’s largest hospital. Internship Program
Although Huntsville Hospital does not have established internships, occasionally a limited number of unpaid internships in specific fields of study can be provided for students. These internships are for students attending area colleges and universities that have an Educational Affiliation Agreement with Huntsville Hospital. Although Huntsville Hospital provides a broad number of clinical and preceptorship opportunities for many local nursing schools, the organization does not provide internships for nurses. Students should contact Huntsville Hospital’s Corporate University two semesters prior to the semester they wish to request an internship.
