The practice was founded in 1979 and has since grown into a lucrative practice with more than 40 Cardiologists, 6 Cardiothoracic Surgeons and 4 cardiac anesthesiologists. We are the dominant cardiology group in North Alabama, owning more than 90% of the market with an excellent payor mix. Emergency Medicine Physicians – Hospital Employed Group
Huntsville Hospital is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our hospital-employed emergency medicine group in the Rocket City. Our team includes more than 70 physicians staffing multiple emergency departments across the region.
Emergency Department Overview:
- Main ED: Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Cardiac Center
- ~85,000 patient visits annually
- 91 beds plus 8 fast-track beds
- 16-bed Observation Unit
- Separate OB Emergency Department staffed by OB Hospitalists
Madison Hospital’s ED is a newer 26-bed department seeing approximately 50,000 visits annually. Two freestanding emergency departments are currently under construction and scheduled to open in early 2027.
The Pediatric Emergency Department at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children includes 16 beds and 2 rapid assessment rooms with approximately 36,000 visits per year. Coverage in the Pediatric ED is optional.
Schedule:
Physicians work an average of 14–15 nine-hour shifts per month, supporting an excellent work-life balance.

We are seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our hospital-employed, well-established, group!
There are 6 physicians currently and a growing community demands the addition of another physician. Our physicians see 15-25 patients per physician per day in the clinic. All approved gastroenterological procedures including M2A Capsule, EUS and ERCP are performed by our group.
Our group has 14 exam rooms and is located in a medical professional tower attached to the hospital. We have 37 full-time employees, including an on-site office manager, receptionist, RNs, and 4 Nurse Practitioners in the hospital. We have a state-of-the-art endoscopy lab capable of performing over 1,200 procedures per month and 24-hour in-house radiology coverage.

Huntsville Hospital is seeking Board Eligible/Board Certified Hematology/Oncology Physicians to join a new, hospital-employed oncology practice in thriving Huntsville, Alabama. This growing practice will be supported by more than 300 employed physicians across the Huntsville Hospital Health System, including surgical oncologists.

Neurosurgeon
Exceptional opportunity to become part of the Huntsville Hospital Spine & Neurosurgery practice established in 1964, joining six other neurosurgeons.
Huntsville Hospital Spine and Neuro is the only Neurosurgery practice of its size in our area. All physicians are currently on a four-day workweek. There are two clinical days and two OR days designated, with Friday serving as an optional day for the physician to take off. The practice employs physician assistants and nurse practitioners to serve as physician extenders for the group.
The case mix for the practice is 75% spine and 25% cranial with a full complement of both spine and cranial cases provided by the surgeons. Each surgeon, when working a clinic day, will have their pod which includes six exam rooms. The clinic space accommodates two physiatrists. The physical therapy clinic is approximately 4,000 sq. ft. The outpatient surgery center is housed on the second floor of the building, directly above the neurosurgeon's clinic. The MRI unit is conveniently located on the same floor as the practice.
The call schedule for the group will be 1:7. The trauma call for this group averages seven to ten calls per shift. There are currently five trauma surgeons and a hospitalist group.
The incoming candidate will have no problem coming in and establishing a practice. Currently, the wait time for new patients is between two and three weeks; however, patients with brain tumors, compression fractures, or acute disc herniations are provided an appointment on the next clinic day following the referral. More than 600 physicians make up the referral base for this established practice.

Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children is seeking two full-time BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalists to join our established and collaborative team. Our group includes 9 pediatric hospitalists and 11 nurse practitioners, supported by excellent pediatric subspecialists.
The hospitalist service covers the pediatric inpatient floor with two teams managing an average daily census of 25–30 patients. Responsibilities include primary management of hospitalized pediatric patients, consultation and collaboration with pediatric subspecialists, and care of newborns in the well-baby nursery. No delivery attendance is required.
