The Heart Center is a hospital-owned practice seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Cardiologist to join our established group in our Athens, AL, satellite location. The practice was founded in 1979 and has since grown into a lucrative practice with more than 40 Cardiologists, 6 Cardiothoracic Surgeons and 4 cardiac anesthesiologists. Emergency Medicine
Emergency medicine physicians needed in thriving southeast metro. Huntsville, Ala. is ranked the 11th Best City to Live in America by U.S. News.
Huntsville Hospital is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our current staff of more than 50 ED Physicians. We staff three emergency departments. The main Emergency Department is a Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center and Cardiac center with a beautiful physical plant, fantastic resources and subspecialty backup that sees in excess of 75,000 patient visits per year. It has 68 beds plus a 16-bed Observation Unit. The admission rate is more than a 35 percent.
The Pediatric ED at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children has 16 beds, two rapid assessment rooms and sees more than 36,000 patients per year with a greater than 10 percent admission rate.
Madison Hospital is located 14 miles away from the main campus, has a 26-bed ED that sees approximately 50,000 patients per year with an average 11% admission rate. A separate OB ED that is staffed by our OB Hospitalist team.
Our physicians work 14-15 nine-hour shifts per month, on average, to allow for an excellent work/life balance.

General Surgeon

OB/GYN Hospitalist
Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children is seeking a BC/BE OB/GYN for a unique OB/GYN hybrid program in Huntsville, Alabama. This position is a 50% hospitalist and 50% clinic opportunity with NO call. You will have the opportunity to practice a full scope of procedures and deliveries and work 14-15 shifts per month. Half of those shifts will be 12-hour hospitalist shifts, and the other half will be 8-hour clinic shifts.
The OB/GYN physician will provide patient-focused, compassionate and quality, evidence-based health care. The hospitalist’s responsibilities include OB-ED coverage, delivery attendance, patient evaluation and management, clinic rotations, surgical assists, participation in quality improvement initiatives, OB simulation training, and education of medical students and residents.

Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children is seeking a full-time pediatric hospitalist to join our team. Our group consists of 9 Hospitalists and 11 Nurse Practitioners and is supported by excellent pediatric subspecialists. When covering nights the Hospitalist admits with both a resident and nurse practitioner team overnight and is also responsible for supervising cross-coverage of these two teams. This is a full-time position working approximately 14-night shifts per month. Board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics and eligibility for medical licensure in Alabama is required.

The qualified candidate must be interested in doing facial trauma and general plastic surgery. This position will bolster our face trauma call to support the Trauma program at our Level 1 Trauma Center and be the launching point for developing a new breast-focused microsurgery program. Sleep Medicine
Huntsville Hospital Sleep Disorders Center is seeking a BE/BC sleep medicine physician for the Sleep Medicine program. The lab has been continually certified since the mid-1980s as a Sleep Center and offers a full range of testing including nocturnal polysomnography, positive airway pressure titration, home sleep testing, MSLT and MWT testing and actigraphy. End tidal CO2 monitoring and designated rooms are offered for pediatric patients. The clinic sees a full range of patients including sleep disordered breathing, movement disorders, insomnia and hypersomnia evaluation and treatment. The hospital, staff ENT physicians and Sleep Clinic are also participating in the hypoglossal nerve stimulation implant program. The Center offers services in Huntsville, Madison and Decatur and has 16 beds available for testing between the facilities.
